Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Tori Kelly, 30, recently shared an update on her health after experiencing “unexpected health challenges” that led to her hospitalization for blood clots. The news came after she reportedly collapsed during dinner with friends in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Tori addressed the concerns surrounding her health, stating, “As you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges. It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you.”

Though she is feeling stronger now and hopeful, Tori mentioned that there are still some unanswered questions about her condition. To provide solace and strength to her followers, she captioned the post with a Bible verse from Deuteronomy 31:8, which reads, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Tori Kelly’s husband, André Murillo, also took to social media to update fans on her condition. In his Instagram story on Wednesday, André expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and kindness they had received. He shared that Tori was smiling again and feeling stronger, though they are still not entirely out of the woods and are waiting for further answers.

On Tuesday, André posted a verse from Justin Bieber’s song “Where Do I Fit In,” which seemed to reflect the emotions they were experiencing during this challenging time.

Tori Kelly’s hospitalization occurred just days before her EP titled “Tori” was set to debut. The release was scheduled for Friday, but it remains uncertain whether her show at The Roxy in Los Angeles, also planned for the same day, will be postponed.

In an Instagram post, Tori expressed her disappointment about the possibility of postponing her EP release but emphasized that her health must be a priority. She thanked her fans for their understanding and support during this trying period.

Following the news of Tori’s health struggles, several stars and fans reached out with well-wishes and messages of love. R&B group Flo and Christian singer Israel Houghton were among those who expressed their hopes for her full recovery. Even Elmo from “Sesame Street” sent his love, writing, “Get well soon, Miss. Tori! Elmo loves you.”

Tori Kelly, who gained fame as an “American Idol” alum, had been eager to return to touring after the release of her first single “Missin U” in March. She expressed her excitement about the prospect of reconnecting with fans and performing her new songs live.

As she continues her recovery journey, Tori’s fans and fellow artists stand with her, offering prayers and support for her health and well-being.
