WATERLOO – One of the prominent developments in the investigations into the former President Donald Trump this week is former Vice President Mike Pence’s appearance before a federal grand jury.
Pence’s role as Senate president was crucial to Trump’s plan to invalidate the results of the 2020 election. In the Justice Department’s special counsel Jack Smith’s inquiry into Trump’s involvement in the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021, he appeared before the grand jury on Thursday.
